History of "Fightin' Marines" Comics and Korean War Valor"Fightin' Marines," first published by St. John Publications in 1951 and continued by Charlton Comics until 1984, immortalized the U.S. Marine Corps' heroism during the Korean War with action-packed stories of devil dogs in combat. Issue #3 (December 1951) features "Canteen Kate: Call to Arms," "Frontline Snafu: Two G.I.'s Strike Back," and "Leatherneck Jack: Blitz at Junkyard Junction," blending humor, drama, and battlefield grit to honor Marines' sacrifices amid the "Forgotten War," where over 24,000 Marines fought in brutal campaigns like Inchon and Chosin Reservoir. This t-shirt, inspired by that classic cover, pays tribute to the Fighting Marines' legacy and the enduring spirit of those who served.
